If an IHG stay is on your cards for the coming year, the chain's current round of offers is worth a few minutes of your time. IHG operates more than 6,600 hotels across 20 brands — from InterContinental and Regent to Holiday Inn and Iberostar — and right now several of its biggest discounts don't require a code at all.
The headline deal is for beach lovers: through November 15, 2026, you can save 55% at select Iberostar Beachfront Resorts in Aruba, Brazil, Jamaica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Miami. The catch is timing — stays must fall between March 1 and August 31, 2027, so this one rewards early planners rather than spontaneous travellers.
On the other end of the spectrum, procrastinators get their own perk. IHG One Rewards members save up to 20% (15% for non-members) when booking within three days of arrival, provided the stay lands on a Thursday through Sunday with a one-night minimum. It applies at participating hotels across all 20 brands in the US, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Just note bookings must be prepaid and non-refundable — a decent trade if your dates are locked in.
A few standing discounts are worth knowing about too. Joining IHG One Rewards is free and unlocks member-only rates, points toward free nights, complimentary Wi-Fi and late check-out. Military travellers from the US and Canada — active duty, veterans, retirees and family members — get at least 5% off the Best Flexible Rate via the Military Appreciation Leisure Rate, with ID shown at check-in. Travellers aged 62 and over can apply the Senior Discount in the rate dropdown, with deeper savings on advance purchases. And AAA members can select the AAA Member Rate for reduced rates at participating hotels, as long as they show their card on arrival.
If a code does fail at checkout, the usual suspects apply: typos, expired offers or minimum-spend requirements. Clearing your browser cache is the last-resort fix.
Why does this matter? Because hotel savings compound. A 55% cut on a Caribbean beach resort, or even a reliable 5-20% across everyday city stays, frees up real budget for the parts of a trip you'll actually remember — the meals, the excursions, the extra night. Frequent IHG guests should also treat the free loyalty programme as a baseline: the member rates alone often beat third-party booking sites. The mix here suits almost every booking style — early birds, last-minute weekenders, military families, seniors and AAA members all have a lane.
