Hilton's famously cookie-gifting brand has opened its first Singapore property. DoubleTree by Hilton Singapore Robertson Quay sits on the Singapore River at 401 Havelock Road, bringing 344 rooms to one of the city's most easygoing riverside precincts — and yes, the warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in comes standard.
The rooms run from 24 to 50 square metres, with more than 200 facing the water. Options cover King, Queen and Twin layouts for solo travellers, couples and friends, plus 11 connecting rooms and four Deluxe Suites for families. Every room gets a 55-inch HDTV, free Wi-Fi, a work desk and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, all wrapped in an earthy, terracotta-accented palette that leans residential rather than corporate. Families and flexers are covered too: selected rooms have pull-out sofa beds.
Location is the real selling point. Robertson Quay's cafe-and-riverside-bar strip is on the doorstep, with Chinatown, Tiong Bahru and Clarke Quay walkable, and the CBD a short hop away. Havelock MRT is about five minutes on foot, putting Orchard Road and Sentosa within easy reach — useful if you want the calm of the quay without sacrificing connectivity.
Wellness facilities include a 24-hour gym, a wellness studio and an outdoor pool with daybeds and cabanas. Business travellers get seven meeting rooms seating 20 to 40 each, with two combinable spaces holding up to 70.
The food and drink line-up is arguably the most interesting part. SAUS, the all-day restaurant, is named for its obsession with condiments: over 40 house-made sauces, sambals, dips and marinades grouped into a "Four Corners of Flavour" concept spanning Singapore, Southeast Asian, spicy and umami profiles. Down the lobby, Brew:33 is a 64-seat cafe-bar pivoting from specialty coffee in the morning to craft beer at night — think Osmanthus Pear Cream Ale and a Choco Chip Cookie Crush, plus satay and bak kwa sliders. It has a pet-friendly alfresco area, so it doubles as a neighbourhood hangout rather than a guests-only space.
There's also a "Ritual Hub" in the lobby running complimentary hands-on activities; a cookie-making workshop kicks off this October, with more planned. It's a small thing, but very on-brand for a hotel built around small gestures.
For deal hunters: Hilton Honors members who book direct can earn 1,000 bonus points per night for up to five nights on stays from 30 September 2025 through 31 December 2026. Members booking through Hilton channels also get free Wi-Fi, member rates and the Digital Key app feature.
Why it matters: Robertson Quay has long been a favourite of travellers who find Marina Bay too polished and Clarke Quay too loud. Having a big-brand, mid-scale option here gives you riverside charm, walkable eating and drinking, and Hilton Honors perks in one package — a solid pick for a Singapore stay that trades skyline glitz for neighbourhood rhythm.
