Emirates Holidays has rolled out a Thailand Pass for its package customers, bundling shopping, dining and attraction perks into one voucher set that works across most of the country's major tourist centres.
The headline number is savings of up to 40%, with no minimum spend required. Collecting the Welcome Package is straightforward: show your vouchers and a passport copy at the reception of any participating mall or outlet. There are 14 partner malls spread across Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Pattaya, Krabi and Chiang Mai, so the pass works whether you're beach-bound or city-based.
Shopping perks go beyond plain discounts. Pass holders get a complimentary shuttle between centralwOrld and Central Village Bangkok, plus free VIP lounge access at both venues — handy during Bangkok's famously hot afternoons. On the attractions side, there are Buy 1 Get 1 Free deals at a range of family-friendly spots in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Krabi, including Playsquare Laser Tag, Playmondo, Aquaria Phuket, OTO Playpark and Monowheel, as well as Swensen's and Auntie Anne's for snack stops. A further 5% comes off Karmakamet wellness products.
The timing reflects strong demand. Emirates Holidays reports Thailand bookings up 10% year on year, and the airline has been investing heavily in the route — it now flies 49 weekly flights to Thailand, has sent its new Airbus A350 to Phuket, and runs retrofitted A380s and Boeing 777s with Premium Economy cabins to Bangkok. Travellers from Kenya reach Thailand via Dubai (21 weekly Nairobi–Dubai flights), while South Africans connect from Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban on 56 weekly flights, with onward service to Bangkok and Phuket.
One practical catch to know: the pass applies to package bookings made until 31 March 2027, so it covers trips planned well into next year and beyond. Emirates Holidays is also offering a deposit option and flexible cancellation, which gives you breathing room to sort visas or shuffle dates without losing everything. Customers in Kenya and South Africa book through participating travel agencies; full terms are on the Emirates Holidays site.
For anyone already leaning towards an Emirates-routed Thailand holiday, the pass is essentially free value on top of the flight and hotel — the mall lounges and shuttle alone can make Bangkok shopping days noticeably less painful. Families with kids get the most from the attraction deals, and the wide mall coverage means the discounts stay relevant whether your itinerary leans towards temples and street food or outlets and aquariums. It won't change where you go, but it may well change what your money buys when you get there.
