Vietnam's south-central coast is getting a new heavyweight resort. Meliá Serenity Cam Ranh Beach Resort opens on 1 October 2026 on Bai Dai Beach, a 10-kilometre stretch of sand between Cam Ranh and Nha Trang — and it's pitched as one of the most complete all-inclusive experiences yet in the country.
The numbers are big: 802 rooms, suites, pool villas and pavilions planned, with 265 available in the first phase. Location is a genuine selling point too — the resort sits just 10 minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport, meaning you can be poolside barely an hour after landing.
The design leans hard into multi-generational family travel. Beachside Pavilions offer open-plan living for younger families, while three-, four- or five-bedroom Pool Villas come with private pools, PlayStations, karaoke machines and even in-villa barbecues. The three accommodation towers — Mare, Vela and Navi — house large rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows looking over the mountains or sea. Pool real estate is serious: a 1,194 sqm lagoon-style family pool and a 990 sqm crescent-shaped infinity pool right on the beach.
Kids up to 17 are catered for with KIDSDOM and a TEENS CLUB, including a boat-themed Watersplash Pool and a full activity programme. Days bring yoga, cardio boxing and pétanque; evenings add outdoor cinema, live music and DJ sessions. Notably, it's also a serious pet-friendly property — dogs and cats get a welcome pack, beds, bowls, toys and their own beachfront area under the Pet-Friendly by Meliá concept.
Couples aren't forgotten. Adults can retreat to The Level, an exclusive tier with dedicated check-in, lounge access with afternoon cocktails and a private adults-only pool, plus the YHI Spa with treatment cabins blending chronotherapy, aromatherapy and other wellness approaches. Active guests get full-size tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness centre and water sports.
Dining runs to eight venues in phase one, all covered under the all-inclusive plan along with selected drinks and minibar refreshments. Expect Vietnamese and pan-Asian fare at all-day restaurant Mosaico, Spanish and Mediterranean dishes at Cape Nao, tacos and tequila at Canalla, flame-grilled seafood at Breeza, Korean-inspired rooftop food and cocktails at Hanryu, plus a coffee shop, poolside bar and homemade ice cream spot.
Why it matters: Cam Ranh has been quietly building a reputation as one of Southeast Asia's more accessible beach destinations, and this opening gives package-style holidaymakers a genuine resort-based option in Vietnam — a country better known for boutique stays and city hotels than all-inclusives. With rates from $270 per night for two adults, taxes included, it's competitively positioned against equivalents in Thailand or Bali, and the airport proximity makes short breaks feasible. It's one for families travelling with grandparents in tow, dog owners who refuse to leave pets behind, and couples happy to share a big resort if it means an adults-only pool to escape to.
